NAILING YOUR ELEVATOR PITCH

Updated: Jun 20

As a budding nutritionist or herbalist, marketing is one of the biggest struggles we hear about. This is because we were trained in our craft and that craft isn’t marketing our services.

But if you intend on owning your own clinical practice, marketing is something that you need to learn in order to be successful. Developing and refining your elevator pitch is a great first step.

You need an elevator pitch because you’ll use it anytime you introduce yourself. It’s a great way to open the door to talk about nutrition or herbalism and how you help people heal. There are some basic parts of an elevator pitch:

  • Who you are

  • What you do

  • How you help people in a unique way

The uniqueness is the important piece. This highlights how you stand out amongst the crowd. And health and wellness is a very crowded market today!

Something that’s important to remember is that you always need to use the words that your audience would use. For instance, you wouldn’t say “achieve health freedom” because most clients don’t use those words. But you might instead say “stop feeling exhausted all the time” because that’s more in line with the words that your audience likely will use.

In the video below, you’ll learn…

  • The outline of a successful elevator speech

  • Where you want to use your elevator pitch

  • How to develop your unique selling point to help you stand out in the crowd

We’ve also included examples to help give you inspiration as you write your elevator speech. And, an outline of step-by-step instructions on how to develop your own elevator speech.

Leave a comment with your questions so we can help you refine your elevator speech. And if you’ve already written yours, leave your elevator speech in the comments and we’ll give you feedback on how to refine yours!
